Reports of a person dragging another person down a road with a car came in to E-911 Dispatch late Tuesday night.    Campbell County Deputy Jeff Allen answered the call at 783 Walden Ridge Lane.  The home is located on the west side of I-75 in the Ridgewood community in south Campbell County.

Allen writes in his report that when he arrived at the home, the victim, Cynthia Teeple, was covered in blood and complaining of a head injury and a road rash over the entirety of her body.  Teeple told the deputy that her father, Chester Jenkins, Jr., had dragged her down the road with his car and ran over her following an argument between the two.

Teeple was airlifted to a Knoxville hospital for treatment.  Jenkins was arrested and taken to the county jail.

The 67-year old Jenkins of Lancing is charged with DUI, failure to give signal, destruction of private property, a hold for Morgan County, aggravated assault, and aggravated assault by domestic violence.

Jenkins remains housed in the county jail this morning without bond.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/16/2018-6AM)

  1. My father has been to prison for Murder and arson. He has threatened several other members of the family ns well friends. He has had a long history of mental illness and the state and it’s legal system has failed to properly rehabilitate him. He is at an age in his life where I can’t teach old dogs new tricks. If this is something a father can do to his own flesh and blood ,imagine what he’ll do to a random person of this state.
