Jennifer Orick is now a member of the Campbell County Board of Education by virtue of her husband Mike’s death.  Faye Heatherly initially became a member of the BOE after her husband Paul passed away.“We welcome Jennifer with open arms,” Heatherly said after Orick’s swearing in on Tuesday morning.  The four-term board member told Jennifer that she would help her in anyway she could.

When Reverend Paul Heatherly realized that his poor health was just not going to improve, he asked Faye to finish his term in 2000.  She was appointed just like Orick was and finished out Paul’s final few months until the August 2000 election.

Heatherly tells WLAF that in those few short months, she became so involved, and realized that she could really make a difference.   She decided to run for the office and was elected.   She won again in 2002 and 2006 while losing in 2010 and then regaining her post in 2014.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/18/2018-6AM)
