While Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathaniel Bostic was traveling on Highway116 in Caryville, he noticed a vehicle on the road with only the fog lights on. When Bostic stopped the vehicle, the driver said his license was suspended for a ticket he had received in Ohio.   Bostic ran a check of the driver’s license that revealed the driver had identification only. The driver later identified as Anthony J. Chambers said he had a license through the state of Ohio and Bostic was able to confirm the license was suspended, according to a report from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department.

Bostic deployed K9 Santo at which time he alerted to the driver’s side door of the vehicle. Bostic searched the vehicle and found a small plastic baggy in the center console with a green leafy substance inside. Also, allegedly found was a container with residue inside the center console. A red glass pipe was found in the glove box with a large glass smoking pipe under the seat on the passenger side, the report said.

Chambers is charged with violation light law, driving while suspended, possession of schedule VI-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/13/2018-6AM)
