You may have noticed all the police presence on South Tennessee Avenue in La Follette on Friday.  There was good reason.  It was a scheduled Tennessee Highway Patrol Sobriety Checkpoint.  Officers with the La Follette Police Department were also a part of the several hour sobriety checkpoint during the day.

THP Lieutenant Stacey Heatherly tells WLAF News, “Several citations for traffic offenses were issued.  There was one arrest for an active warrant.”

The next THP Sobriety Checkpoint is Saturday, July 14, on Highway 116 at Caryville near the Red Roof Inn.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/02/2018-6AM)
