A 20-year old Lexington man drowned this afternoon in the Cedar Creek area of Norris Lake. Members of the La Follette Rescue Squad and deputies with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department responded not long after 1:30 pm Monday afternoon to the call of a possible drowning.  Sheriff Robbie Goins says that the young man was on a boat with friends from Middlesboro.  Goins was told that the victim decided to jump from the boat into the water, and that was the last they saw of him.

The name of the drowning victim is not being released until next of kin is notified.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/04/2018-3PM)
