On Friday night, 25th May, at approximately 10:00 P.M.,  Deputies Jeff Allen and Joe Hopson were dispatched to investigate a possible custodial interference of a seven month old male from the Newcomb area of the county.

The mother of the baby, Victoria Jeffers, stated that she allowed Sienna Chesser, of Brick Pant Hollow, to baby sit the child. When Jeffers wanted the child back, she attempted to contact Chesser and was unable to do so for several hours.

Deputy Joe Hopson contacted Detective Ken Daugherty. Detective Daugherty used cellphone technology to begin to locate Chesser.  During this time Deputy Allen was conducting interviews throughout Jellico in attempts to locate Chesser. Deputy Cody Douglas was assisting the other deputies with locating the child.

In a little over 5 hours from the time the Sheriff’s office was contacted, the baby was recovered by the Lexington, KY Metro Police Department. Chesser and the child were located with the cellphone technology.

Chesser was arrested on felony warrants that were taken out by the Jellico Police Department on unrelated charges. Sheriff Robbie Goins states that his detectives are still investigating and charges are pending. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/29/2018-5PM)
