Brittan Perry Jacobs, according to his father’s obituary, was just eight months old when his father was tragically killed a little more than seven years ago. 

The little Marine, who lives in Hertford, North Carolina, lost his dad, Christopher James Jacobs, in October 2011, while he was performing military exercises in California.  He had served in the Marine Corps for 11 years and had completed combat tours in Iraq/Kuwait (OIF) and Afghanistan (OEF).  Awards Jacobs received include, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals (3) Combat Action Ribbons (1) Global War Terrorism Service Medals (2), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medals(1) Sea Service Deployment Ribbons (2) Iraq Campaign Medals (1), National Defense Service Medals (1), and the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendations (1).

The 29-year old Jacobs was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/28/2018-6AM)
