Just before 9 pm on Sunday, April 1, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant at the Budget Host Inn on Wood Lane at Caryville. Investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and 8th Judicial Drug Task, prior to the execution of the search warrant, conducted undercover operations by purchasing crystal methamphetamine from people at Motel Room 19 at the Budget Host Inn.
While executing the search warrant the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Swat Team, Agents with the 8th Judicial Drug Task Force and the Caryville Police Department came into contact with Jerimiah Gray 36 of La Follette and Whitney Gray 26 of La Follette.
During the search Investigator’s located approximately 24 grams of crystal methamphetamine and U-S currency believed to be proceeds from drug transactions.
While investigators were conducting a search of room 19, three female suspects from Knoxville arrived at the room. The trio attempted to sell approximately 80 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of heroin and marijuana. Suspects involved in this operation will be facing charges of the sell and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession of schedule II controlled substance for resale and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
